This is my specially developed birdie bread loaded with at least three nutritious grains, nuts, fruits, and peanut butter that parrots absolutely love.

My recipe is far more appealing, healthful and easy to digest than those offered at other pet sites. Just look at the ingredients in my recipe:

The ingredients in the complete recipe are a combination of the following:

Organic baby food, 4 different delightful flavors
(Included) Examples: Sweet potatoes, Green beans, Pears, Peaches
A combination of rolled and milled grains,
Wheat Germ, Flaxseed, Oat bran, Milled wheat, Irish groats
oatmeal, Buckwheat milled flour, TVP (textured vegetable protein)
Safflower seeds
Corn meal
A combination of various fruits:
Dried Apples,
Dried cherries
Dried banana chips
Dried Papaya
Dried Pineapple
Dried Apricots
Dried Cranberries
Nuts: At least two of the following:
Raw spanish peanuts
Macadamia nuts
You add only:
One half of a small jar of Jif or Skippy peanut butter 18 oz.
(low in aflatoxins over health food stores peanut butter)
3 fresh eggs for protein

Mix and bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. (If you wish to make the same recipe as my prepared BoBo’s Birdie Bread, you can add 1/4 cup grated carrots and 2 mashed bananas to the above mixture but it is not essential.) Cool completely and cut into squares.

There is no processed white flour, baking soda, baking powder, or preservatives in my birdie bread. You can be assured of your bird’s health and well-being by using BoBo’s Birdie Bread Mix. Read what our Avian vet said about our birdie bread recipe by clicking on the “About” button.

2.17 lbs per container, makes enough for a Medium 8” X 11.5” oblong pan.

We recommend that you supplement a good pelleted diet with fresh greens, fresh fruits such as grapes, peaches, cherries, plums, pineapple,.whatever is in season. Remove the pellets from the dish and substitute for the evening meal: a few springs of fresh broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, or other recommended greens, a small slice of corn on the cob or spoonful of canned corn. Add a few pieces of fruit and top it off with two pieces of BoBo’s Birdie Bread. This gives your bird a variety of nutrients needed to maintain good health and prevent the bird from becoming overweight. Do not feed your bird a diet consisting of mainly seeds as they contain lots of fat and is the direct cause of overweight birds.

Your bird will dive into the birdie bread first. For a special occasional treat, offer your bird a tablespoon or two of fresh orange juice. You will be rewarded with lots of kisses, whistles, yum yum sounds.

There are a number of things that you should never feed your bird. Avacadoes, dairy products, junk food and a list of other items that is extremely harmful for your bird. You can obtain more information regarding care and feeding at . You can get good information there on anything related to the training and care of your bird.
