This site was developed through our adoption of our beautiful double yellow headed amazon parrot, BoBo.

He was rescued from deplorable conditions in Conroe, Texas. BoBo was caged in a very small wire cage with no perches, only a huge log crammed across the bottom of the cage. With no limb or perch to stand on, he had to constantly climb up and down, around the cage. He was fed a diet of cheap sunflower seeds. The water dish was fouled and dirty. He had been someone's pet at one time, because he told us his name, BoBo. But BoBo had reverted back to the wild state and was terrified of human contact.

That was three years ago. BoBo gradually developed trust in us after daily interaction and training. He continues to learn more every day. He shows us his cute personality daily. BoBo is an important member of our family. He shares his owners with four aged dogs and one old cat. BoBo takes center stage, however, with his large comfortable cage next to a favorite recliner and the TV. He watches the evening news at the same time he eats his evening meal consisting of fresh greens, fresh fruit and his special birdie bread.

BoBo's Birdie Bread has emerged over the past three years of research and experimentation to develop the best, most appealing food treat that parrots adore and eagerly awaits their food dish.

Our Avian veterinarian told us "Whatever you are feeding BoBo, KEEP DOING IT, because he is the healthiest bird I have seen in my office in a long time". He said most companion birds that he sees are way overweight with a lot of health problems due to improper feeding, particularly a seed diet. We told him about our birdie bread and how we feed BoBo and he agreed that it was a very good plan.
